Bechuanaland

Bechuanaland was a comparatively unknown region in South Africa, annexed in 1895 to the Cape of Good Hope. Internal self-government was introduced on 1st March, 1965. Independence was obtained on 30th September, 1966 when the country was renamed to Botswana.
